Q&A

I'm interested in the scholarship but not sure if I meet the requirements. How can I check?

Talk to us and we'll figure it out together via email or Discord.

What will we need to produce by the end of the scholarship?

A working game project framework that demonstrates your vision for a larger game. It should have clear gameplay direction, design, and art style, with playable core mechanics. Projects should have commercial potential rather than being purely experimental.

What goals will we need to meet?

Periodic check-ins with Candivore's team and a final presentation after about 3 months. Goals are flexible and will be set together during the acceptance process to suit your specific project.

What happens after the program?

You'll keep your project and knowledge gained, with potential for additional opportunities based on your performance and what's available at Candivore and our ventures.

What is the purpose and amount of the scholarship?

It's a subsistence scholarship so you can focus on your project without financial pressure. The amount is flexible and varies by team, with each request considered individually.

What types of projects are suitable?

We're looking for projects that have a commercial orientation at their core, but the definition is intentionally open. Although Candivore specializes in competitive mobile games, our portfolio is broad, and we don't want to close the door to talented people who don't exactly fit our template.

Where are Candivore's offices? Is attendance required?

Tel Aviv. We'd like to see you at least weekly on a day that works for you, with periodic progress check-ins. You're welcome to use the space more frequently.

What knowledge can Candivore provide?

Everything from core game development (design, development, art) to commercialization expertise - data, infrastructure, metrics, economy, marketing, and community management from our experience with Match Masters.

Why small teams rather than solo developers?

We respect solo developers, but currently we're looking for people who can work effectively as part of a team.

Why is a commercial company offering a scholarship?

We think it's the right thing to do as part of our growth. It's a good way to build trust between us and the community, identify talented people with a mindset that matches ours, and position ourselves as a company with a unique character in the industry. There are no rights traps, binding agreements, or complex conditions - we try to make this program simple, honest, and flexible.
